After 2 years in Canada
After 2 years in Canada, a lot of thing happened to me. I¡¯ve gone through all of them with my nice school friend, teacher, tutor, church members, home stay, guardian, and pastor. It was quite fun actually.
It was awkward when I got here and went to school at the first time. I wasn¡¯t even used to English and I was jealous to those people who speak normally. But now, I¡¯m not afraid, I¡¯m getting used to speaking English and I learned that you shouldn¡¯t get shy about what you¡¯re saying, you should get brave and try it. Just don¡¯t worry about what they are saying, everyone have gone through those people who are learning English. Some people will tell you a mistake and you can fix that next time and you won¡¯t do that make the same mistake again. After few days in school, you¡¯ll make some friends. Once you made your friend, hang around with them. You¡¯ll have a lot of fun with them.
I stayed at my guardian¡¯s house for few months with other kids that came to Canada to learn English. After few months I went to home stay and stayed with Canadian people. You can experience Canadian food and tradition. For example, there are some days called Easter, Thanksgiving, and X-mas as you know. They make whole bunch of food like turkey, jelly, gravy sauce and other food. You¡¯ll also get to try other many foods and it is really good.
Canada has a lot of fun place. There is the place called castle fun park where you can play a lot of game, cultus lake for the swimming place, and there is a few pc rooms in Canada where you can use computer. I went to many places with my teacher, friend, and pastor and had a lot of fun. It was quite good activities. You will never get bored in Canada. Many people like to have activities like sports, swimming and camping.
For studying in school, it will be easy on math because they are not that good at math. I¡¯ve gone through hard time in science and social study because for the first time I wasn¡¯t used to this word so there was misunderstanding than you get wrong. Basically, you just have to get good at English than everything will be easy.
I never regret that I came to Canada, some time I did because I missed Korea and my family. You¡¯ll get used to it than you¡¯ll be able to stay in Canada with no problem. You¡¯ll make a lot of good memories with your friends and have a lot of fun. Now, Canada is one of my favorite countries and I love this country. I¡¯ll miss Canada. |
